if you finally have 65 grands, you'll finally have an equivalent of a 1000$ soon. leave mid-range and go for high-end guitars. And with that sort of money, you better order it from abroad if you can, Nepal's expensive.

With that kind of money, I would settle for a fucking harmonium and spend the rest on beer and pizza. But that's me. I would say go for a RG prestige, or a jackson dk-2. If a prestige can't be got, any regular RG is a great guitar once setup properly. Don't buy a strat if you want to play punchy metal riffs.

I guess it really depends on what sort of tone do you want ? Who do you want to sound like ? Vai, Satriani ? Or Jeff Hanneman, Jeff Loomis ? Or Steven Wilson, Mikael Akerfeldt ?
If you are thinking of getting the guitar shipped from somewhere else you should check out PRS SE(there's a mikael akerfeldt version for $650 I think), Schecter Hellraiser (played one in the guitar store and is abso-f**king-lutely amazing), LTD JH-600(this guitar is a demon, has the best crunch I've heard so far!!) reviews online and demos on youtube. All really good guitars for metal players. Then there are RG1570 and Jackson DK2 which are also very good guitars.  Smiley

^The best way is always to try out the guitar for your self. But if you can't try them out in Nepal you can always check youtube to see how are the reviews and hear how the guitar actually sounds ( remember to note the type of amplifier and other effects used by the reviewer though). I hope you know what sort of things you absolutely need in a guitar like whether you like humbuckers or single coil ? Active or Passive pickups ? Thick or thin necks ? Floating or fixed bridge ? I guess you can at least shorten your list if you know what features you prefer.

Dinky looks good. It'll definitely facilitate almost any wild thing you decide to do on the guitar.

Um, don't mind me asking, but how long have you been playing? A guitarist's level of skill also determines which guitar he should buy. If you think you are going to be a shred / metal / technical guitarist, buy a Jackson or an Ibanez. But if you aren't looking for that (or don't have the level of skill required for these genres yet), you may consider the Fender. Fender ta jasto guitarist lai ni huncha.
Good luck.

well i opted out from buying a dinky, that's mainly beacuse i had to wait for 6-7 months , ani budget ni kamm bhayo (personal reasons) , so i bought a 2nd hand guitar which is pretty good for its price, and no i dont mind u asking me how long i have been playing and my technical level haha , i have been playing fro 4 and a half years, technical level ni thikai cha , tyesto babbal ni chuina ma.

setup properly bhannale??

Setup properly bhannale adjusting your bridge, neck, etc in the right manner. It can mean a world of difference. Especially the neck, if it's not setup properly, it won't matter if you have the most expensive guitar.

Mid rage guitars like the Indonesian RGs usually come with carelessly adjusted factory settings and unless you are lucky you will likely run into one problem or the other. Some may have fret buzzes, some may have ridiculous actions, some may have string chock problem while bending in higher strings, and so on. So you will have to carefully adjust your guitar according to your preference.
